Hang in there!

Just a quick note to see how everyone is doing. Its hard to believe that it has been over a month already since Covid-19 turned all our lives upside down and forced us to temporarily close the doors at Chez Pepere. I must say we miss everyone’s smiling faces and we hope that all of you are keeping well under the current circumstances. It is said that every dark cloud has a silver lining, and we must admit despite the ominous reason that caused us to close we have certainly found opportunity to focus our new found time and energy on many of the things we have had to put to the side due to the very busy nature of the café prior to closing. We have been busy putting together a 5-year plan for developing the farm side our business with an expansion of our greenhouse and produce production here at the farm and we are just itching for the snow to finally melt so we can really get going full steam ahead with it. Secondly, we have been busy updating our website which has been sorely neglected in the year and a half since we opened and we will shortly have an online store connected to the website where you can place and pay for orders online. Its still a work in progress however but we hope to have it up and running soon so that we can operate in whatever capacity government restrictions put in place going forward. We expect that it is not very likely that the ability to eat in at the café will be returning in the immediate future and take out orders are not really sufficient to cover the costs associated with opening daily which means that for the time being sandwiches, soups and hot lunches won’t be available until we are back up and running at full capacity. That being said we will be making available all of our ready-made baked goods, pies, quiches, oven ready meals, pickles, and preserves. We will also have products available from many of our local crafters, and artisans. Produce from the greenhouses will be posted on the store as it becomes available. Keep an eye out and as soon as things are ready to go we will make an announcement!
